Problem: Exceeding My Storage Limit Using IMAP

I am using IMAP and find that I often exceed my storage limits for my mail account.

Scenario

  I am currently using Outlook with IMAP
  I have on more than one occasion been inconvenienced by a full mailbox

Recommended Solution

Use Spam settings

If you feel that your mailbox is filling up due to excessive amounts of junk mail you should use the @home Spam settings to limit the effects of junk mail on your mailbox. In particular you may wish to use the automatic deletion options that are available. For details on how to configure these settings see How to use Spam settings.

Use webmail to delete large messages

If you are finding that Outlook is taking a long time to connect due to large email files you may wish to resort to webmail to view and possibly delete these mails. To do this simply log on to your @home mail account directly from the web and use the size details to determine which mails are possibly contributing to your full mailbox.
